Dr. Mona Irrmischer
My background is in (neuro)psychology and I studied the effects of meditation on the brain as part of my PhD at the Vrije University of Amsterdam. To this day, I conduct scientific studies on meditation, breathwork, and psychedelics.
Personally, I’ve been deeply immersed in traditional meditation and healing traditions, as well as modern integrative body-centered psychotherapy and psychedelics. I am working as a freelance psychologist and process facilitator (with and without psychedelics).
As an empath I have walked many paths myself.
I love to be present and hold space to allow real transformation and honest change. At Alegria Retreats I am responsible for the psychological screening process, being a facilitator at the ceremonies and supporting our participants in their integration process after their psychedelic experience.
